I just searched for it too, it seems to be gone. Although I did find a thread I tried to post last night and thought it didn't work. Not a total loss I guess.

I'm sure lots of people didn't like it, but that's probably all handled in PM land.
While I can see compaints about clique-ery as relevant, it's really no different to a 'Vote for your Homecoming such-and-such' in terms of exclusion, be it geographic; or Sex Threads if you're a virgin, for instance.
Nothing malicious, just harmless fun. Someone probably looked too far into it.

Yeah, somebody probably looked way too far into it. I don't remember anyone getting upset about the British clique though. Maybe slightly annoyed when they would use excessive amounts of slang, but not really pissed off enough to get a thread deleted. Course I don't think their was a thread for the British like the missing Oz one.

I checked 2 days ago and it was still there. Why would anyone delete it when its been inactive for like 3 weeks? And considering it doesnt even effect other board members, its not like we hang shit on other board members or bully people or anything.

We never specifically removed that thread. Nobody even asked for it to be deleted.
A "purge" was run on 30th Aug 2005 though, which might have removed it. It aims to remove inactive threads to keep things running smoothly.

The purge explanation makes no sense. It wasn't that old. People had been posting in it within the past week.
I saw Breaker Morant yesterday. I saw it when it first came out, but I never understood the British/Aussie tension behind the story at that time.
