i'd say 15% across the board, military, welfare, farm subsidies, amtrak, npr, foreign subsidies, price support programs, arts, etc......

Oh, you'll have to excuse me. I wasn't aware that Republicans had any sort of sense of humor. Well, besides for the side-splitting antics of Bush searching for those caraaaaaaaaaazy WMD's in his slideshow! That was a hoot. Making fun of dead people. LOL.
The way I see it, Republicans are in power. If you feel like complaining about oil prices, go blame those who are running things. :)

Yeah, because everyone knows that to SOLVE things, we need less money, and less people in charge. Then things work out great. :rolleyes:
How are you a Republican and still believe in "less govt bureacracy"? That's a right-winged catch phrase that has no meaning in today's society. Republicanism = facism = lots and lots of government controlling everything. Who proposed the Patriot Act, that gave unlimited power to the government? Was that a right-winged solution? I think it was.

Hey gas just rose to $2.99 here. In Tulsa Oklahoma. Which is supposed to be one of the cheapest cities in the country. Good thing I don't drive.

Also, tax SUV owners and trucking companies.
Use the proceeds to subsidise the rail services, public transports and people who drive fuel-efficient cars.
