i quit my job the other week cos the store manager is an evil bastard with Napoleon syndrome, so i cut my losses and refused to go back. now, however, i have no job, and none seem to be falling into my lap like everyone seemed to think they would. hmmm.... was it such a great idea?

Quitting jobs is the best thing ever - the panic of not having a job will end and you'll get used to sitting on your ass in front of a computer.

Do voluntary work - gets you work experience, looks good on your CV and you get the satisfaction of doing something worthwhile.

Learn to be self sufficient. See how well you can live without the income. Make it a personal challenge or a game. See if you can get to a point where you don't need to go looking for a job or you can afford to take a lesser paid job.

Unemployment can be an opportunity if you look at it the right way.

ha ha

i actually got a call 5 mins ago for a position, but i wasnt the right person. im just trying to find something to tie me over until feb next year when i go into full time study.

i am the queen on living on no money. when i was at uni, i lived on $90 a week , and that had to pay for all my art/photographic stuff, travel, social, bills. so having little money isnt an issue for me. i just dont want my brain to go numb from inactivity. ive applied for some unpaid work experience, but im yet to hear back.

i'll find something. eventually
