I just picked them up and all I can say is wow. The sound quality is superb, especially on Slow and Low. I highly recommend anyone of you guys or girls to swing by your local cd store get em while you can.

I've looked into it & so far, no info on vinyl editions of these. Has anyone heard if they are going to release any of these, but hopefully all 4 of those on vinyl? I can't wait to cut up the My Adidas acapella.

No it shouldn't mr. moderator. Slow and low was written by Run DMC and it just so happens that the Beastie Boys released it on LTI. The original, which is done by Run DMC, was released on "King of Rock". Therefore this makes it a Beastie Boy subject just as well.

My bad. I thought the thread was titled "Rereleased Run DMC records". Not "Slow and Low on Rereleased King Of Rock record".
Oh wait, it wasnt.
You were talking about the re-releases in general. Not just Slow And Low. Either way, your talking about re-released RUN-DMC records not Beastie Boys records. So, in theory... this should be in Other Music.

I checked the official by-laws that specifically address the appropriate location for threads by forum.
"It is preferable that the words Beastie Boys or a specific track title of the Beastie Boys is used in the title of a thread in Beastie General. It is also acceptable if the words Beastie Boys, track titles of the Beastie Boys, or references to the Beastie Boys are used within the text of a post."

Cheers! Pootytang tells me it says "Brian at Beastiemania.com" in the special thanks section. That just made my day!

Nothing really.
I know the guy that was organising the re-issues. I had been in contact with him for a few years on and off and out of the blue he writes to me says he's doing these re-issues. We were discussing Run DMC tour information and so I helped him out with some pics/info but the last thing I expected was to be mentioned in the cd.

there would be no beastie boys without RUN DMC, therefore all references to Run Dmc should be considered beastie related.

Your right. And there would be no hip-hop without Kool Herc. So, whenever there is a thread that has a Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash, Busy B, Kool Moe Dee, Afrika Bambatta, Melle Mel, Kurtis Blow, & anyone else that came up before RUN-DMC or the Beastie Boys references... it should be in this forum because it's all Beastie related.
Dumbass.

yeah doesnt anybody notice the realness of his own is what he's keeping? the keepingness of real on his behalf is amazing. If his real wasnt keeping, it'd be gone stale. thats not a good thing. which he is not not a good thing. he is a good thing. for if it wasnt for him the realness wouldnt be kept.

Adam Horowitz of the Beastie Boys, to The Associated Press:
"It's a terrible loss ... If Jam Master Jay and Run-DMC hadn't looked out for us way back when, I don't know where we'd be now."
