is definently the best album i have heard all year. he really changed up his rap style and matured up his act (he doesn't say "bitch" at all on the album)... this rap record will probably be well received by all those indie rock/emo kids. The beats on this album are incredible, and you should already know that cage is a good rapper.

this album definently ranks up as one of the best Definitive Jux records ever, I'd rank it up there with Cold Vein, Deadringer and Fantastic Damage

If the opposite of pro is a con then we'll be honest
the opposite of congress must be progress.

Dilated Peoples already used this bit.

Yeah, I was about to say Dilated already used that and I don't think they were the first. It's honestly a pretty weak wordplay IMO, seems like a cheap grab at depth. I haven't listened to the cage album, but I've seen this lyric before.

is that really him in those pics??? he's so fucking gay, the dude looks like he should be the front man for some good charlotte-esque band. So not only does he change his style he also changes his image, wow he's really going go for the trendy hipsters who love indie crowd.

the album still puts me sleep

the beat if fuckin garbage.

i was producing better beats than that in college with Virtual Drummer.

lyrics are pretty good....cage sounds less whiney now....overall, thier voices and flow are a welcome departure from the current rap/pop crop.

that pic does not look anything like cage....

okay, is it just me, or is anyone else getting tired of the indie rappers repetitive "let's rip on society" tracks....i mean i love social commentary....but the whole cynical outlook on consumerism, war, bush, the industry..thing is getting redundant.

sage, anticon, antipop, cage....everyone is putting out track after track with the "make fun of congress" line, the "insert sarcastic line about saluting the flag" line, the "consumer obsessed public" line...

it just seems like in the past 4 years, every indie rapper suddenly discovered all these political words (like senator, congress, treaty, election...) that they've never rhymed before...and they're all falling over each other trying to see who can rhyme "election" with "erection" and sound "deeper" than the next guy.

i mean....none of these MC's are saying anything particulary deep or new for the most part....it's pretty generic editorial..."bush loves oil" "special interest blah blah"....

but hey, i'll take all of that over a rhyme about dubs, bitches, and jewels...

I share the sentiment.

It's like hip-hop nowadays is 'hip-hop', the shit on the radio with the horrible beats and rhymes about women and cars, and anti-hip-hop which is just whining about how bad hip-hop is, with some (Moronic) social commentary thrown in.

It's depressing.

The only way to be 'different' is to make a 'political' record and sound like every other unintelligent hack?

I don't think so.

But I still enjoy my Anticon. cLOUDDEAD is the shit.

And yeah, the album is great. 'Perfect World' is one of the best hip-hop tracks that will be released this year.
