So - I have some news...

I was going to tell ya last week but then there was the Cosmo truth or dare I'm late thread...and then Ms Peachy shared her wonderful news, so I waited a while....

But...I'm pregnant too! Yay! :D 8 and a bit weeks!


Ms Peachy - your 'complaining' thread made me smile so much - it's nice to know someone else is going through what i'm going through!

Anyway - so that's my news....and i can't stop smiling!! :D :D (in between running to the toilet to throw up of course...whoever called it morning sickness - lied)

touch wood, serious morning sickness isn't something I've had a problem with. Some minor queasiness from strong smells, but nothing major. But lots of lower abdominal cramps, which is scary because every time I have one (which is, like, every other hour), I think "Oh god I'm having a miscarriage!" and run to the toilet fearinng the worst. But of course everything is fine and it's just the mysterious 'stretching' that apparently the uterus does right from the get go, even though the baby is only the size of a chickpea and clearly not taking up all that much room.

But yeah, woo! :D

I do like being able to rip big farts and just shrug and say "Hey, it's the Little Bean, what can I do?"

:D Serious wind hasn't been a problem for me...yet. The smells thing though - my nose seems to have developed super human powers and the oddest, usually unsmelliest things have me clamping my hand across my nose and mouth.

That happened to me in the middle part of my pregnancy too.

And unfortunately, it coincided with when my dad got heavily into cologne. He bought the whole line of products (soap, pre-shave, after-shave, cologne, powder, etc.) and he'd put dabs of cologne on the lightbulbs in his place. You couldn't escape that smell.

I love him but I hated being near him then because scents affected me with instant headache and nausea. That stage passed in the pregnancy, but it was probably the nastiest part of it all aside of the tiredness early on.

The preggers girl I used to work with did this all the time. It seriously wasn't cute at all. But it was even more uncute since she was trailer trash who abused the system as badly as possibly.
