i always unplug the toaster, i think its a habit i got from my mom, because our toaster was kept under this cabinet, and she said if oyu leave it plugged in the heat would warp the wood or something

i also unplug any lesser used appliance like the blender, unless there is a place that it can be out of the way and still reach the receptical

I unplug the toaster so mice won't get in there and run up my light bill.

it was a big bone of contention between my old roomate of mine that i didn't unplug the toaster..and i'm like..well the TV, Microwave, oven, fridge, computer, lamps and stereo are still plugged in...that would really piss him off.

i don't unplug it either, but my mom always did at home. i don't know why though. it's not like it's gonna turn itself on or anything. and even if it does, it's just gonna pop anyway.

i have two completely full power strips in my room. when i was younger my dad use to freak out and unplug all my shit. that use to piss me off so fuckn' much. come home late at night and my light would be unplugged. i think he got the hint when i cut all the wires to his tv and stereo shit with wire cutters. he tried to do something about it my everyone in the house was just laughing at him.

the toaster gets unplugged and put away, along with other small appliances.

leaving the toaster out and plugged in would probably bug me.

yeah, just out of habit i do.
my mother used to make me do it all the time, and she said lots of fires were started that way. and apparently, it still uses electricity

I unplug the blender, toaster and coffeemaker. I also turn off the power strip to the main TV and sterio system, shut off the gas line to the stove and I only have one light bulb that I carry around and plug it into the room I need it in.

I don't have or use a lot of electrical appliances other than an iron and a hair dryer; I keep both of them unplugged.

I have a toaster, but I don't use it. (I have it for friends/visitors, most of which like toasted bread with tea.)

I think the only electrical appliance that I keep plugged in is the microwave.

I'm especially paranoid about unplugging the hair dryer because my cat has knocked it down several times while it's been plugged in and the impact turned it on with the fan facing the floor. The iron is an auto-shut off, but I still unplug it only because the on-light bothers me at night.
