View Full Version : this new awol album by az
you should all check this out since it's obviously the best album of 2005. for those who's familiar with az he's finally made the album we've all been waiting for to get back on top as one of the best rappers. i just hope this album will get the attention that it deserves. his best album after doe or die (the debut, '95)
it's been a long time since i got this immediate good feel after hearing a new album.
check it out.

Never Change gets annoying pretty quickly. Apart from that though it's a pretty tight album.
Never Change gets annoying pretty quickly. Apart from that though it's a pretty tight album.i don't know about that. i like az's soul sound. his unreleased final call album from last year was like that from start till end and i loved it. never change is pretty similar to "the truth", the last track on the album which is taken from final call.
anyway word the album is the shit.

It's not bad. I don't feel like I wasted my money, yet I still wish I would've bought a pretzel.

a pretzel with sauce or no sauce? what kind of pretzel, specifically? and from where?
these are important things to know when comparing an album purchase to a pretzel.

i would get a cinnamon pretzel with some caramel sauce AND the cd. that's my review right there. good enough to listen to while eating an awesome pretzel.
wanton wrench: aah yeah that's true..should have dropped the background
cj hood: that's strange..it's not like he's been dead for 10 years..still been doing some great songs and albums. plus you never listened to nas? he's on 2 of his records after illmatic..and you never heard of the firm? he's a member there too. and yeah anyway, stange.
and pauli and adam_f..throw away your fuckin pretzels and get into the flow of the album. do it.
by the way, check this interview out for good insight of the man's greatness

Raekown and Ghostface Killah pretty dope. Ever heard
Del La Funky Homosapien or Lord Finesse?
Del La Funky Homosapien comes out with Handsome Boy Modeling School Album: White People and was with this band called Deltron 3000.
Lord Finesse also shows up int he same album and has rapped with Andre Da Giant.

only track I've heard is the single, The Come Up (fucking ace). does it have a video? heard A.W.O.L. was pretty good too; has AZ ever made an album that wasn't good? (besides The Firm)

(besides The Firm)the come up is wicked. you should check out az's chillin' which is probably the best track on the album. as for weak albums i persosnally don't think so. i guess if i had to mention my least fav it would be 9 lives. anyway yeah there's a video for the come up. check the link http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/az/artist.jhtml

i haven't bought a hiphop cd in a long time......i've been burned 2 many times......but i'm tempted to buy this one......i hope your right!?!>!
do it you won't regret it i'm serious..there's only one bad thing i can possibly say about this record and that is..it feels more like a mixtape than an album since it switches from style to style on every track. but that doesn't mean any of the songs are bad. it just doesn't have that illmatic flow (if you'd exclude it ain't hard to tell). but still i'm sayin it's the best hip-hop album of the year no doubt.
