So I just saw this tonite. And to tell you the truth, I'm really creeped out by it. I don't know whether or not I should change my relgious beliefs because of this film or not. I will always think differently of 3 a.m. from now on, that's for sure. Sure the film isn't packed with the kind of exciting stuff you see in the trailers, but there's enough that it gives you the shivers. I recommend that you see this movie.

Damn - that intense huh ?
if a movie makes you want to change your beliefs, you must not be a strong-willed person.
and it's "based on a true story", meaning they took a reported act (the exorcisim) and embelished it with sensationalist crap. I'm willing to bet 80% of that movie is a lie passed off as fact. the general public will eat it up.

Does anyone else notice that Exorcisms only happen to people who are Catholic? How come you never hear of Jews being possessed by the devil?
I don't believe in 'em.

My roommate's brother and his friends want to see that movie, but they aren't allowed to go unless someone 21 or older takes them. So we got stuck with that. Driving to Dallas, TX to see a movie. It should be fun though, because there are some awesome music stores in Dallas/Fort Worth.

I saw it last night.
It was more about the court case and the strife the priest went through, rather than the actual exorcism.
7/10. Some scary parts.

Movies like that usually scare the crap out of me and I was prepared for this one to have done that yesterday, although I didn't have much of anything in me for it to scare out.
Watching it, I did scream out loud once: when they first did that Edvard Munch sort of effect on the faces of her schoolmates.
The actor who played Emily Rose was kinda scary looking even before the evil stuff started. I hate to say that, but man.
Despite a couple of scenes, I still felt as though Emily Rose had one/some/all of the medical problems that the prosecution raised in the trial.
I liked the feel of the movie, but it didn't keep me awake last night. Not even at 3am.
