Me too because I sometimes confuse Douglas Adams with Kurt Vonnegut. :o

the only way to make things more amazing would be to bring him back from the dead and have him on the show, too

He must be through helping Thornton Melon with his school project.

I know, the confusion puzzles me too. (It's more confusion related to their names, looks, and breathing status but not the books they've written.)

he's so old and feeble looking, poor guy. he kind of reminds me of a muppet :(

it's interesting to see him after only ever reading him though, i'm glad i did. if i didn't know he was kurt vonnegut, i'd think he was one of those old guys that likes to talk and you just kind of smile and nod and wait for him to fall asleep.

Wasn't Geraldo married to his daughter at some point?

sad that it's the most intelligent thing I can say about him

....oh, you mean kurt vonnegut's daughter! i don't know honestly

it seems like vonnegut's gone a little bonkers in his later years, honestly, he seems to ramble more. that's ok though, he's entitled to it.

HA again!

Kurt Vonnegut is one of those cute little old men. He's so tiny and adorable. :o

He's 6'5". :p

I know because I just confirmed the Geraldo thing to satisfy my curiousity.

He looked little on TV. He looked a bit smaller than Jon Stewart, who's kinda on the short side.

Wikipedia might be wrong. It struck me funny because it said in trivia "is 6'5" and "smokes Pall Malls".

And his daugher was married to Geraldo. I figure that she was Geraldo's first rung on the ladder to success.

yeah, maybe it meant 5'6"? either it's a typo, or he has HORRIBLE posture, there's no way he's 6'5"

Yeah, maybe it was a typo. I take about half of the stuff on wikipedia with a grain of salt anyway.

he looked so tiny and frail and it was sad to see him having trouble keeping up with Stewart. he still cracked me up, though. "that's why we have giraffes and hippopotami and the clap."

i like how jon didn't really interview him, he just kinda sat back and let him talk. i was happy to see that jon and the audience and probably the rest of the cast were as excited about having him on as i was. like in the commercial before the show came on, steve colbert said it was probably the coolest guest they'll ever have on the show, or something.

...I've wondered before what Thanksgiving dinners must've been like at that house.

They're divorced now (so is Vonnegut, as of a few years ago), so it's not a concern.

People these days forget that there was a season on (60 Minutes?) when Geraldo was just a pup that he was actually an interesting journalist. It was later that he grabbed the big plastic ring.
