any team of the first 10 listed on the poll...

Chelsea, Barca, obvious favourites. Bayern are gonna be mad for it this year. Ballack & Schweini & co - they wanna play it up to max for 2006.

My all-time favourites of course, Juve & Real. Liverpool has no chance, but I still wish them luck. they made last season the best UCL in about 7-8 years.

Black horses: The Spanish underdogs, Sevilla & Villareal.

well, first GOAL of UCL 05-06 was just scored by Liverpool's Pongolle (y)

I'm only saying Manchester United because I support them because the likelyhood is Ferguson will play youngsters when he thinks he's won his group comfortably, and will then proceed to blame UEFA when we finish second and have to play F.C. Bẽstclubinthewörld :/

They are listed in betting-odds favourites order. Before any game last night.

Before last night you could 5 - 1 on chelsea winning the whole thing at Ladbrokes.

Man U are 12 - 1 at Stan James still

Bratislava are 2500 - 1

I used to play "Fifa" a lot on computer. I loved doing Champions League, and I used to watch soccer "English Premier League Highlights" and other soccer stuff on a channel here called SBS. Was good shit (y)

I know, man

I put 3 euros on Sevilla at about 100-1 and another 3 on fucking Rangers at 200-1. my big money went to Barcelona at 8-1.

...so let's see them all drop out after the group phase, hahaha

theres only so many times that you can write things off as being young and immature, whats the deal with wayne rooney?

TonsOfFun

I like Rooney, he has passion for the game. Which makes it exciting although frustrating for Man U and England fans.

The poll suggests a Man U v Chelsea final. I'd take that. Where is the final this season?

Paris

No way ManU is gonna be there though. After seeing Barca beat Bremen I am happy about my investment in them. They will be in the final.

after watching Barca in the SPL they look pretty formidable. sure they're letting a few goals in, but they can seemingly score at will. they'll be there at the end.

TonsOfFun

Well Man U didn't look like they'd ever be near winning it this season

Drederick Tatum
10-18-2005, 04:15 PM
they need a midfield. Scholes and Keane are past it. Fletcher has the speed of a jar of molasses, Alan Smith is an experiment, there's only really Giggs, Ronaldo and Park Ji Sung if he works out.

I'm talking in a more general sense. Ferguson is a pretty average player in the transfer market, sure he got Ronaldo but that was a no-brainer. otherwise most of his other purchases have been pretty unspectacular...getting Van der sar was a good move though.

and now it seems as though Giggs is going to be out for 6 weeks, United are going to have a tough time in the league.

I take harder knocks in Tae Kwon Do than that, getting kicked in the head etc. He's a footballer he doens't have to use his brain. Wimp!

You know. Inter Milan might be a good bet at 12-1 looking at form and the tables and who they have to play.

I'm glad woodgate got a goal last night and beckham. Be nice to see those to scoring all the way to the world cup. (I know woodgate is a defender but RM play as 10 strickers and a sweeper most of the time)
