While this is fucked, you have to remember this is not the same for all unions.

I know there are some bad ones, SEIU being one of the worst, at least at the local levels.
But then my father works for the local union that handles all the conventions, concerts, and shows here and they do really good by him. Providing training, excellent pay, and they activily find him work suited to his talents.
