Have you ever seen a cankle? There is like no definition from thigh...to ankle, one size all the way down. Maybe it has to go with genetics.

^can't see the calves (which look a little wide)....these could be cankles....but the slenderness of the ankle makes them look pretty decent from the front view. i'll say ankles.

while, structurally...men can have cankles....it is only with the female form that is makes a differance.

the defination of cankles deals with the curvature of the leg....and curves really only matter in a feminine sense.

thus....only women are subject to the negative effects of canklage....

see, with these 2....these are not cankles.
while there is a lack of curvature....it is due to the slimness of the calves....not the thickness of the ankle....
the true hallmark of cankles (while lack of curvature plays a role) is the thickness of the calf AND ankle itself....denoting increased weight and/or brutish masculinity.

honestly, cankles have little to do with weight or the width of a calf. some people just have fleshy joint areas for some reason. I find it happens more with girls who are naturally thin, but don't excercise, i.e. kiera knightly and claire danes.
