Isn't the dude playing Michael the same one who played Rory Breaker in Lock, Stock?
he was the narrator of Oz, and a main character as well cept he was in a wheelchair.
Mr. Ecko was too, also a main character but he was scarier than fuck on Oz.

I thought it was a great finale. Gave you a lot more answers than the last one.
Good. I'm glad Desmond is back.
Tzar, I downloaded that program but I have no idea how to do bittorrents. I'll try to figure it out.
oh, yes, hahaha figured so.
www.piratebay.org or www.mininova.org (search for Lost in here)
download the torrents and save em... anywhere (i put them in my azureus folder in 'program files').
muck around with azureus: set your upload and download speeds to whatever you wish AND maybe change the directory to where they download to. you don't really need to change anything else unless you want to.
when you download the specific torrent, just double chick on the icon. it should be a blue frog like the azureus one.

see!
fuckin' chewie knows whats going on. i reckon it was good too. did leave a huge question mark right at the very end. (y)

My friend's sister gave birth today to a baby boy, she wants to name him Ethan. Her other sister said "Don't name him Ethan! He's one of the OTHERS!" and then they started talking about it, and I was like...yeah. Nerds.
How long does she have to think about a name? If she takes too long they may give him a symbol for a name.

I dunno. She didn't start thinking about names until today. She's better with picking names once she sees her baby.

Yes, for sure. It was better than I thought it would be.
SPOILER
When I realized that it was the electro-magnetic force that crashed the plane, that was SWEET. I can't believe they didn't at least bind Michael's hands or something after he revealed that he killed Libby and Ana. I wanted Hurley to punch him at least :/

She should name him Turniphead.

they still haven't explained the male and female corpses in the cave?

Hah, I was actually thinking just that when Desmond accidentaly kills his partner guy. I didn't know it was the same day the plane crashed, and I thought for a second maybe he stows the dead body in that cave. (don't know about the chick skeleton though).

OH yes, best thing of the whole series:
*Charlie sits on the beach playing guitar - Ecko runs up behind him*
Ecko: Charlie, do you know how they got the hatch door open?
Charlie: No, but if ya hum it I can probably play it...
That made me lol
Oh yeah - the statue with four toes?????

That came from an old PG Tips (Tea Bags) commercial, where two chimps are removalists trying to get a piano down the stairs. They stop for a cuppa, and the younger one say "Dad, do you know the piano's on my foot?" and the dad chimp starts clanging away on the keyboard, and says "You 'um it son (cockney accent), I'll play it..".
And wasn't there a reference to a paper merchant in Slough in Season 1. That wealthy girl that Charlie tries to grift, didn't her father buy a paper merchant in Slough?

THAT FUCKING SUCKED!
LOST IS SHITTING THE BED!!
the first hour and 40 were all fine.....but jesus, the last 20 minutes were fucking awful.
yet another season finale flubbed by the writers of lost....
these guys just don't know the differance between tantalyzing the audience and frustrating them.
not only that, but the "twists" were nonsensical, or just plain lazy.
let's consider:
1. why the fuck did it take Desmond 3 FUCKIN YEARS to get suspicious of Kelvin and finally follow him out of the hatch? come on.
2. okay, so the button really DOES do something (it releases the built up electro-magnetic engergy in the machine/island. and if you don't push it, the machine goes fuckin haywire-apparently blowing up the island or something disasterous). SO, why did Henry Gale attempt to trick Locke a few episodes ago into not pushing the button, if doing so would destroy the island? if he wanted to destroy it, why wouldn't the others have done so long ago?
IT MAKES NO SENSE!
3. so desmond turns the key. WHAT HAPPENS?! why didn't he or Kelvin do so long ago!?
4. why did charlie not tell anyone about the hatch....and instead just go make out with claire?
the fuck is that?
okay, one possible explanation....when desmond turned the key...it reversed the polarity of the machine on a huge scale (to stop it from blowing up).
a massive polarity switch like that would really fuck with someone's brain waves for a bit.
charlie may honestly be fucked in the head, and not really remember what the fuck just happened.
5. if Henry Gale is the "leader" of the Others....how the fuck did he get himself captured in the first place? did he somehow "plan" his capture and all the rest of the events that unfolded?
come on....BAD WRITING!
6. they're not gonna tell us what happened to the hatch and Desmond,Locke, echo? that's far more frustrating than tantalyzing.
and the 2 biggest flubs of this finale"
7. so Desmond caused the plane to crash when he didn't push the button fast enough 3 months ago or whatever....so it was just a random event that caused that plane to get caught in an electromagnetic field and get pulled down to the island...
DUDE THAT RUINS HALF THE SHOW!
that means there was no organization between getting all those Losties on the same plane, thier "connections" are meaningless, thier was not Hanso/Dhamra conspiracy to get them there...it was all dumb luck!
what a fuckin rip!
8. the big "reveal" at the end. what the fuck.
so apparently....Desmonds long lost love SOMEHOW found out that Desmond got shipwrecked on a mysterious electromagnetic island and the only way to find him is to pay two russians to track electromagnetic pulses around the world...
yeah.
so how the fuck would she have found out that Desmond was on the island?
i know that her father (charles whitmore) IS part of the Hanso Org/Dharma...but still...
did kelvin tell someone? or does Hanso Org know exactly who is in that island at all times? and the father, for some reason, tells his daughter "hey, you know that guy desmond that you loved and i hated...well, guess what....you're not gonna believe this...when he went on this crazy race around the world, well....he somehow shipwrecked on my companies secret Dharma island. what a coincidence, huh? WELL...the only way you can find him - cause i can't tell you were it is- is to track electromagnetic pulses around the pacific...and that may someday tell you where he is...luv ya!"
come on.
this show is shitting the bed. the writer have a lot of work to do next season.
and, if the button is real and so VITALLY important to the island well-being...WHY contruct a elaborate mind-fuck expirement to keep people pressing the button? why not spend a little money and automate the process so someone doesn't have to keep pressing the button?
the fuck.
however, the 4-toed statue was pretty cool.

let's consider:
1. why the fuck did it take Desmond 3 FUCKIN YEARS to get suspicious of Kelvin and finally follow him out of the hatch? come on.
he crashes onto an island he knows nothing about. he's barely consious when he's taken into the hatch. immediately when he wakes up, kelvin is ordering him to take the vaccine, i dunno about you but for someone who has their own shit set up on a random island; i'd believe everything kelvin told me
2. okay, so the button really DOES do something (it releases the built up electro-magnetic engergy in the machine/island. and if you don't push it, the machine goes fuckin haywire-apparently blowing up the island or something disasterous). SO, why did Henry Gale attempt to trick Locke a few episodes ago into not pushing the button, if doing so would destroy the island? if he wanted to destroy it, why wouldn't the others have done so long ago?
IT MAKES NO SENSE!
henry said he was on his way to get locke. for what reasons? we dunno. it's obvious henry did punch in the numbers. perhaps he is trying to convince locke that the island/button is false; he pretty much did make locke think that anyway. i reckon the 'others' aren't the bad guys at all. i reckon they're trying to destory dharma from the inside. they must know something about dharma that we, viewers, dont know
3. so desmond turns the key. WHAT HAPPENS?! why didn't he or Kelvin do so long ago!?
hahaha you think they'd reveal what happened to desmond straight away? like it shows, he was sick of being on the island and got drunk and was about to turn the key, but desmond stopped him. kelvin obviously found the boat after this, started fixing it up and decided to just 'make' desmond keep pushing the key whilst he leaves.
4. why did charlie not tell anyone about the hatch....and instead just go make out with claire?
the fuck is that?
okay, one possible explanation....when desmond turned the key...it reversed the polarity of the machine on a huge scale (to stop it from blowing up).

charlie may honestly be fucked in the head, and not really remember what the fuck just happened.
maybe... charlie's always sorta been like that though. everything was fixed and done with after the big purple sky thing so why bother bout it. the hatch is fucked beyond repair so he can go worry about things that he wants to. ie. claire
5. if Henry Gale is the "leader" of the Others....how the fuck did he get himself captured in the first place? did he somehow "plan" his capture and all the rest of the events that unfolded?
come on....BAD WRITING!
yes perhaps he did plan it. is that so hard to accept? i don't think the others know about the french chick. she's doing her own shit. this will get revealed within the first few episodes of the new season, without a doubt. maybe he got caught; the others thought it WAS jack and all them guys (and not the french chick) so they decided to do the trade
6. they're not gonna tell us what happened to the hatch and Desmond,Locke, echo? that's far more frustrating than tantalyzing.
fuck man, you're impatiant as all hell. Lost has always been like this.
and the 2 biggest flubs of this finale"
7. so Desmond caused the plane to crash when he didn't push the button fast enough 3 months ago or whatever....so it was just a random event that caused that plane to get caught in an electromagnetic field and get pulled down to the island...

if dharma have anything to do with everyone being connected, it would be actually getting them on the plane in the first place. i reckon it was pretty cool that desmond brought it down. but wasn't there .gif animations around the net showing the security system flying into the engines?. but how did you expect dharma to bring down the plane? missile? sabotage?
8. the big "reveal" at the end. what the fuck.

come on.
that shit probably won't get revealed till the end of next season, just like the button.. took all of season 2 to show what happens.
this show is shitting the bed. the writer have a lot of work to do next season.

the fuck.
it was set-up in the 70's or something?
however, the 4-toed statue was pretty cool.
yes it was cool, but i really dislike how it was just ignored. THAT really needs to be revealed soon because it's so random and unnecessary that it shouldn't of been shown.
i win.

I enjoyed Qdrop's review. :)
I just watched the final episodes because I was away when they aired. I don't understand how Charlie can come back to the beach and not report that Eko was in a bad way when he last saw him. I don't understand why he didn't come back and tell everyone what he had seen and that some of the people were missing.
But then, it's my pet peeve with the show that if the characters all sat down and talked to each other about the things they saw in Australia and on the island everything would be a lot simpler (and the show would lose about half its plot lines).
I figured that Desmond pulled a Bruce Willis and saved the world by blowing himself up, but I guess we didn't actually see it happen, eh?
I am intrigued by the idea that the Others may be good and they've banded together to fight a different big bad.

i read about the first half of this thread and stopped reading when it caught up with where we are at the moment -- episode 9. having not really got into the first series, and even slagged it off (!!!!), i am now a convert..
i just have a question which i think was answered in the first series... why does the korean guy have handcuff(s) on his wrist(s)??
GetYourWarOn

i think he got into a fight with michael in the first season, and afterwards he was handcuffed to some wreckage--the cuffs belonged to a U.S. marshall who was aboard the plane. he got cut loose with an axe, but no one knew where the key was.

ah, thanks. last night's episode showed him being released from the handcuffs. i think it was actually michael who did it... and it explains the knowing looks they exchanged. :D
i'll have to get the DVDs when they come out.
