Allo.
I finally got around to getting myself some of the tracks sampled by the Beastie Boys I'd not heard before...obviously many of you hardcore fans will clearly scoff in my general direction.... but I am absolutely loving the man Ted Nugent "Homebound". I'm very much after Wild Sugar's "Bring it Here" but can't find it anywhere :(
What's your favourite sampled track?

Jeremy Steig's "Howling for Judy" followed closely by Rien Na Va Plus.

After reading where they got the root down joint, I actually searched for the original "Jimmy Smith" recording on record... That whole album is great, I even found two more "Jimmy Smith" records, and all I can say is he is one bad mothertrucker..... The boys have influenced a lot of different types of music I listen to.....

yeah, i love that steig track.
Although I love it when the sampled track is pretty much reused in its entirety, (say, The Flamingo's "I only have eyes for you" and Fugees "Zealots"), I'm loving random snippets of sound taking you into artists you'd have never otherwise listened to normally.
Keep em coming.
