Laura Ingalls Wilder and Wonder Woman
I'd like live on a Wisconsin farm, wear long pigtails and a bustier, jump really high, and go by the nikname "half pint."
That'd be the life.

I read all the books, I think. I loved the careful descriptions of how they harvested the vegetabls, oiled the bear traps, churned butter, cured the ham, and then played kickball with the pig's bladder.

I tried to do this and I honestly can't remember most of them.
Big ones were definitely Jem and Wonder Woman for me. I used to have these wonder woman underwear and I'd wear them around the house and put my mom's boots on. The only other one I can remember being a large part of my childhood is Madonna. :o

I also liked Punky Brewster but she wasn't my all-time favorite. I even looked like her. One day my friend - she lived across the street from me and she was older - helped me dress up just like Punky, and it was perfect. I loved it! But then a boy from school saw me like that, while we were playing on the street, and ever after he kept singing "Punky Brewster" to me on the playground. That bothered me so much, for some reason. I kept shouting. "I'M NOT PUNKY!"
You'd think I would have liked it since I was such a fan. But kids hate when you call them by the wrong name. I think it's because you have such little power when you're a child, it seems perfectly plausible that someone could force you to take a different name if they wanted you to.
