There's no reason to assume that old age is going to be like that. It's totally possible to avoid all the expectations of old age with a healthy lifestyle.

heh. My boyfriend feels exactly the same way about getting old. And for myself..i'd have to say the moment I have to start wearing diapers to keep from shitting my pants it's all over. At that point, I'd consider suicide (provided I don't have children and grandchildren to stick around for.) Well I just had my second knee surgery in just under a year, and the docs told me that as well as fucked up cartilage I also have early stage arthritis in one of my knees. And at age 33.

The doc was so nonchalant about it too, I was just coming round from the anaesthetic and was a bit out of it, and after telling me what they had done in the op he just said "you're rather young to have arthritis" and then just walked away.
Now I have to wait six weeks to find out the extent of it.

Ah well, if it gets really bad I guess I could pay and get a titanium replacement:cool:
