As far as the roots...have you seen them before? If no, then definetly go. If you have seen them once before, then definetly go.
I've seen them about 6 times and decided that unless they come out with a new album that makes me cum in my pants...I probably won't see them again. Only because I have seen them so many times. They do get the shit moving though.

free games do rock. It's funny because, I'm poor, and thus don't play many games as I'd love to. Especially PC (I love FPS games). So I never really did anything about it.

Now that I talk to people about the games at school, just the fact that I say something about "yeah I wanted to play that game, can't afford to get that yet though" people are totally cool with swapping and letting others borrow their stuff. If I would have known just saying something worked then damn! I would have had so many more games sooner! ha. Anway, it's a nice system the gamers I know have going. One buys a new game, the others buy one new game too, all different, and swap.

As far as the Roots, I saw them once, and had to leave early due to the person I was with being sick. $33 bucks is quite high though but they are pretty damned amazing. Perhaps I'll suck it up and go :)

The minimum specs are a DirectX 7.0 card and the 9200SE is DirectX 8(.1 I think).

They've gone backwards so far they are working with 486 graphics, gameplay thats piss, and controls that are non sensical. Why didnt they just re-release last years game, it was shit but it wasnt homicidal rage inducing like this poo is. Arghhhhhhh :mad:

And the worse thing, they made a create a player mode, but you can only create a player IF you have an eyetoy. What shifty marketing. But its not like you can see the players faces anyway, and its not like giving a player 100 skillpoints for everything is gonna make a difference, all the players are so shit no matter what they are rated.

i only just noticed this post; may i recommend dawn of war (http://www.dawnofwargame.com/). it's based on the warhammer 40k tabletop game, but it's a real time strategy game and it involves lots of guns, orks, and explosions, it's probably the best RTS game i've ever played. there's an expansion pack that recently came out (though no stores seem to be getting any shipments for some reason, maybe it's michael brown's new job), it introduces a new race that fights kind of like the russians in WWII; loads of infantry and suicide rushes...only with lasers.
