It's still close, and I'm not an optimist, but at the moment the Labour Party (centre-left) has just over a single percentage point over the National Party (centre-right), with about 10% of the vote yet to be counted. Hell of a lot better than it was looking earlier tonight.

I know next to nothing about what's going on in New Zealand, but I hope that Prime Minister chick wins. She's a hottie! ;)
