bon jovi
rolling stones
u2

artists:
r.kelly (what is he on that makes him embarrass himself so bad)
mariah has gone beyond a parody. sometimes, it's just sad. she should... put on some clothes, get smaller implants, and maybe start singing gospel for a bit.

im not saying they didnt have something to offer once. but it's time they let the new kids try.

ok add more.

I'm in doubt which one of these statements is more hilarious.

I might have to get back with you on that one.

But I wouldn't mind if Green Day would die.

...I was in a store the other day that was playing the newish U2 album and I thought it was really, really strong. I came *this* close to buying it, but then I realized what I always do -- that it's still too hard to divorce the vocals from Bono himself, and I'll keep having that dork flowing out into my ears whenever I want to hear it.

I'm expecting to be able to listen to U2 again before Michael Jackson, though. I'm still having a tough time with Woody Allen movies, too. :(

I have a tough time imagining Woody Allen could really get Mia Farrow.

Well, yeah. After you get the image of him doing his stepdaughter, the past pretty much gets thrown out the window.

I know it's an icky situation, but she's not (and never was) his stepdaughter.

Okay, are you guys TRYING to be bait me with this anti-U2 rhetoric?

KISS
Yeah as much as I love em, I gotta say that they should've taken a final bow on stage with the dignity of having Ace and Peter in the band. The Farwell Tour should've been just that - their last. I've got over $3,000 in merchandise of KISS stuff and concert going memories to last me a lifetime.

R. Kelly is a child molester. He needs to go to prison... (n)

Aerosmith definitely. at their best they were still only a Stones tribute band.

Yeah, I'm seeing two of the three this month. :o And Coldplay too! :o:o:o:o

It's a busy September full of mostly corporate rock, but I'm worried that Beck will be the worst artist I see this month.

What's wrong with Coldplay?

Man, I remember being the only person who was into Coldplay when they were new. I'm SO old school.

The Coldplay tickets went on sale ages ago, before I found out that I had other concerts the night before and after.

I like some of their songs, but everything on X&Y sounds the same. I tried listening again today. :( I do love the sound of his voice though.

I'm not that enamored with "X&Y" either. I have to give it more listens (which is sadly the case for a LOT of my CDs these days), though. There were really nice songs, but it didn't resonate with me the same way that "Parachutes" (a lovely, lovely album that meant so much to me back in the day) and "A Rush of Blood To The Head" (which blew the top off "Parachutes") did.

Having said that, if I were to be similar to any rock stars, I'd like to think that I was like Chris Martin. :o

I think I heard the new coldplay album at a friend's place. It sounded like the same song over and over and over again.

That one song resembled their other album too.
