1. Your car's are big. REALLY FUCKING BIG. I mean even the cars which we have here, over there seem to be inflated with air or something

2. The Grand Canyon is the best thing ever. You must all see it

3. Your figures of authority are very authoritive.

4. Contrary to what American musicians say about European food, most of your food is not very good. Your bread, butter, chicken etc. taste EXTREMELY processed. There is one exception...

5. Your Steaks are fucking delicious

6. Las Vegas is mindbending.

7. The red rocks in Arizona are amazing.

8. San Diego is a good laugh

9. Getting lost in East L.A. at night whilst driving around with a map looking for the freeway whilst playing "Rhinestone Cowboy" very loud is very scary

10. Free refills = (y)

1. We do put air in our tires.

2. A big whole in the ground. Wow.

3. Hence 'authority'

4. The pot calling the kettle black.

5. Word.

6. It's also STD infested.

7. Simple things for simple minds.

8. Pittsburgh is better for a bigger laugh.

9. Black people are scarier in America.

I agree with the food thing. You hear all the time Americans having a pop at British food, but other than Washington, NYC and Boston, everywhere else I've eaten in America is well rank. Quantity is no substitute for quality. And cut down on the sugar and salt!

I think the food thing might have something to do with the fact that different people are used to different things. If you're used to the food we have and prepare in America, then you're probably not going to like the food of Europe as well and vice versa.

Y'all don't have free refills?

Very true. If we had free refills in the UK it would be chaos! The very fabric of society would collapse as people filled their paddling pools with Sprite.

I would actually love to check out New England/east coast USA.

I might * fingers crossed, not being a chickenshit * live there next summer.

I agree with the food thing, it might be a "used to" thing.

And..adam_f....

Hence 'authority'

First of all, you can be FRIENDLY and do your job...plus.......

No really, your cars are BIGGER, and EVERYONE on our trip remarked "if america becomes totally depandant on foreign contries for fuel they're are...FUCKED!" (seriously, you GUZZLE petrol), and Saudi/Iran/Iraq someday might say...stick it.........

And Grand Canyon and Red Rocks CANNOT be overrated, they simply fucking rule. I hope all you american's realise what a natual treasure you own.

I don't know what "American" food is anymore, unless it's fast food or crap chain restaurants. I've been all over the US and found great food everywhere (except a few small towns in Minnesota), but I study up, eat at ethnic restaurants, and use common sense about what the region is known for. I have a friend who can order a bad meal anywhere--she has a knack for ordering the worst thing on the menu--for instance, she once ordered fajitas at a Dutch restaurant. And I swear that last time we were in NYC she found the worst restaurant in town. I didn't think it was possible to find a truly horrid restaurant in Greenwich Village!

I love food and I can find great food anywhere. It's easier if you can spend money on it, but it's not essential.

I've had great food in England, but it was all ethnic. My mom's two most memorable meals were with me at modern-style restaurants in Dublin and someplace in Scotland.

Super! We can watch Freaks and Geeks on DVD and eat ethnic food! :)

But I should disclose that I hated Rent. It nearly cost me a few friendships, but there it is.

I can understand - the lyrics are horrible! I can admit that much at least.

When Rent came here, I had a few friends who got addicted to it and went over and over. I finally went with my best friend and we hated it. There isn't a single good song, the set and costumes and all that were bad. Apparently the crack whore role was a substitute who wasn't as good as the actress my friends saw, and she was very bad.

My big problem was the plot. You're supposed to feel sorry for them. But I couldn't. Why should "artists" in NYC get to live in an apartment and not pay rent? When they moved to NYC, did they think the landlord should support them?

When I met my co-worker's partner, the partner immediately said, "so you're the one who doesn't like Rent--I heard you thought they should all get jobs."
