Just asking.

I don't think so at all. Usually when a guy has nice eyes, a receding hairline brings that feature out more prominently.

The look that I don't like is when a guy is losing his hair and he grows it long (into a pseudo-mullet) to compensate. Would you rather have this look (http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1420000/images/_1420116_agassi_1989_good150.jpg) or this one (http://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/1420000/images/_1420116_agassi300.jpg).

The example of a good-looking receding-hairline guy that always comes to my mind is Ed Harris (http://www.thespiannet.com/actors/H/harris_ed/eh.jpg). Perfect-looking guy (although it doesn't hurt that he's in great shape (http://i.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/031029/162221__harris_l.jpg).

I think it's funny when one tries to grow their hair big on top and sport a comb-over. I doubt I will ever go bald, but if I do, I think I would like to go bald graciously. ;)

In terms of the comb-over, I wonder what the equivalent is for women.

Is it applique sweatshirts (like these (http://www.blair.com/prodimg/image23/w39214f.jpg)) to mask their weight?

When you get to be my age, unless you're motivated, you probably won't have much of a choice but to wear these or those sweaters that have holiday crap sewn up and down the fronts and backs. I'm motivated, so I've don't have anything like that and thank God, my kid never realized clothes like that existed or I would have had a rack of them and would have either worn them with shame or not worn them with guilt. :D

everyone I know seems to have a receding hairline

only thing I worry about is them having less self esteem which saddens me and pisses me off cause I still think they are all hotties to me regardless

my hair is another matter though :(

I take it back. A toupe is the equivalent of those applique sweatshirts for women. Blech.

I think guys with receding hairlines can be extremely attractive and I am not lying, beastiegirrl101.

To me, it comes down to so much more than hair. Not all women find the same things physically appealing and not all attraction is based 100% on physical appearance.

my mother is a trained dietician and moves around heaps, and she's still on the chunky side. it's not thyroid, it's just genetics.

No it won't, zorra. You're aware of it and maybe seeing it will make you want to prevent it from getting out of hand. You have motivation/inspiration and that's half the battle. Besides, you totally don't look like you'll go off like that.

I could well be long be dead by then. Except for a couple of them, most of the women in my family die young and from illnesses that we don't know how to prevent or cure yet. This is one of the strong reasons for why I have always exercised and taken care of myself. (If we don't know how to cure those diseases, maybe long-term healthy living will stave them off for awhile--a fit me might make an inhospitable host. Even if that doesn't work and I keel within the next 10 or so years, I've had a life of being very comfortable in my body.)
