View Full Version : Whats in a name?
I was in the ladies department of the West Palm Beach mall this morning to purchase my wife a 5th year anniversary gift (the traditional 5th year gift is wood). I was walking past the cosmetics counter when I heard a little girl saying----thats my name, thats my name, thats my name, thats my name. I glanced over and the little girl was circling the counter.
Then I heard a woman from some far reaches of the department store yell--Clinique get over here!!
I thought I would share the most absurdly funny part of my day so far......
P.S.-I bought my wife a jewlery box with a Tiffanys bracelet tucked away inside.

Nice gift (y)
To name your kid something like that is very tacky in my opinion. Those types of people are trying to be unique and different and just wind up coming off as trashy (n) Poor girl

most names like that are pretty terrible
i mean, its good to be different sometimes, but something like that is just stupid.
i think we should have a revolution and start using names that were popular back in the 1930's agian

Aww, Yeti! How I've missed you. And what a sweet gift for your pretty wife. :)
Who the fuck names their kid Clinique, though? I use the makeup but I'd never name my kid that. Though I did know a girl named Chanel.

I never understood why there were lists like that and why people actually use those as a reference to name their future child. I think that when you're naming a baby...that kid should have a name that's unique, that fits them. A name that has meaning.

Hello, Audielicious. Are you still living in Sactown? My Miami Heat now have Jason "White Chocolate" Williams.
OK, since I brought this subject up......
The University of Virginia has a 5th year senior playing hoops and his name is Majestic Mapp. His brother plays High School ball in the Bronx, Ny. His name is Scientific Mapp.
I would like to meet those kids parents and shake their hands.

Hah. That's awesome. And unfortunately...I'm still here in Sacramento County. I get vacation time in December, so I'm either goin' to SoCal or Vegas. I love Jason Williams. :o I posted his high school picture on here in Turd's thread somewhere. Nothin' like a little white boy point guard with ADHD to get this girl to watch NBA basketball religiously.
Oh, and my friend that made my Sockmonkey is now reconnected with me through myspace.com! SOCKMONKEYS!!!

It's like people who name their kids after liquor...I used to work for social services and I saw all kinds of retarded names....Tequila, Chardonnay, Chablis (three sisters)....never did see one named Manichewitz though :D

musta been what the parents were drunk on at the time of conception. the oldest one was tequila, right? and they said "shit, from now on we drink wine!" but that didn't work either. :o

I know she drove a Coup DeVille and she couldn't be true. She sounds like a slut to me but she is probably worth a poke.
There's 6 letters in my name. 21 if you count middle and last name too.
