...well, we got one.

The photo part is this thin, ever so plastic-y layer of icing that peels off.

Paul says it's edible paper printed with edible ink, right out of a color printer.

Huh. And ew.

Anyway, the cake went over well and we didn't cut into Paul's head yet, so he can take it home to the family. (y)

Interesting.

This was from a grocery chain called Albertsons. It tasted more or less like iffy-grocery-store-icing, but the photo layer was clearly a separate layer which you could peel off if you wanted... about 1/8" thick.

you couldnt even peel mine off. i couldnt see a layer at all. i dont know how they did it. i think it was from a big chain called tesco though. i wouldnt be surprised if they could afford that kinda technology

The black icingy bits might make for blackish teeth for awhile.

When we've done those cakes, everyone was too squeamish to eat any of the body parts.

One of my buddies from high school had one at his open house. If I remember correctly, I got a big chunk out of his head.

I didn't think it tasted that good. There was something about the textures that threw me off a little bit too... but then again maybe I'm just being weird. I'd stay away from ordering the things though. That is, if I actually wanted people to enjoy the cake.
