Do you ever look at people and think about what their screen name might be, and what forums they might post at, if at all? I don't mean typical nerdy geeky looking people either, I look at all sorts of people, and think things like he could be posting as wiseguy69 at ilovefishing.com or she could be fantasyAngel69 at ravers.net, and he's probably madaz-rx7-69 who posts at the rotaries-are-sick-hot.com forums. It's like I want to uncover their secret identity or something. I dunno. I think many strange things, I think. I even think the fact I think I think strange things is strange. I think I should think that my thoughts are my own and there is no definition of strange, and I think I am wearing this whole thinking thing a little thin so I think I'll stop now.

hahah no but I did (may well still) have an account there when I needed some help but all they wanted to tell me was how I could "improve" it. And some of the solutions they gave me, even I could see were just way off.

I used to have an AOL account and had way more names than I could use, so I made up a fake profile for a laugh and boy was that eye opening stuff.

Try it. Especially the guys. Make up something about being a kinky babe and see just how much email, instant messages, propositions, confessions, soul baring you get.

I got invited to join a naked lesbian wrestling group. I had a sexaholic confess his sins to me and share his addiction to lap dancing clubs. My email inbox was always full of people wanting to meet that I had never talked to before.

At first I found it amusing but it started to feel a bit sleazy and deceitful so I dumped the profile and the email address.

when aol was new and just started, i dont remember having a name or a profile or anything. but i remember my friends and i would log on and go into random chats and each time we went on we would make up a different persona. it was really fun until someone talked to us a second time and we were putting on a different look, then it got kind of creepy. especially for us, since we were in middle school

i do wonder sometimes, about how some people are completely different on the net...kinbd of funny if you ask me

ToucanSpam is an internet persona, and only a small part of me is put into him. He represents the foolish dime-a-dozen kid who thinks he knows what 'punk rock' is all about......the johnny-come-lately who thinks he reads up all the good stuff on politics. He is annoying, oversensitive, and e-bi polar.

It's only every once in a while that I don't post with this persona in mind. When I do though, people know. Myabe it's time to give him a rest......
