I read this long time ago.

REM made an appearance on Livewire(talk show) in 1983. Thay played songs and answered questions. Well someone claimed that one of the kids asking questions was Horovitz. I ignored this back then.

I totally forgot about it,but few days I heard this info again(from more credible source - but it still can be untrue ). The copy of this show exists and if it's true I'll try to hunt it down. :D

So can anyone confirm/deny?

I haven't heard this before? Where was this show taped/recorded?

I don't know how much traveling Horovitz did in '83 so if it wasn't in NYC, I would tend to think it's not true.

Yes it was recorded in New York.



That's not so important but if it's true it would be cool to watch it.

Midzi, you should try asking the REM geeks at Murmurs.com (http://www.murmurs.com/talk/index.php?) about it. Someone there might even be able to supply audio if it exists.

Wasn't Livewire a radio show?

It was a tv show and they have the recording.


The last time I read about it was on murmurs.com - one of the mods said that.
I asked them to reseed the torrent of this recording.The problem is that I wasn't a member there before.
I talked to this moderator and he said he will reseed it if no one else will, but then he didn't reply to my second pm. He probably decided to ignore me. :o

Any long-time members from R.E.M message boards here?

Ignore that. It's under "Dead Torrents." My bad.

And I haven't been on Murmurs a whole lot recently. I look at the forums a bit, but haven't posted for a while, so no, I don't really know anyone on there.

Yeah I watched it few days ago on youtube and was disappointed. The kid does not resemble Horovitz at all. I don't know why anyone thought it was him.

It could be adrock, adrock also wrote a song called livewire... ow edit i just watched it and its definatly not adrock, not even close :)

I saw it. I cant remember if I have it on video or I saw it on the net but I dont think it was him.
