Yup. I first had Kazaa then it created all sorts of problems.
WinMx was great for rare song searches, but was far too slow.
I'm still pleased with Limewire. :)

I think I tried Limewire for a few days, but it sucked big time. Soulseek for me. But these days it's been mainly livegigs so it's Dime-a-dozen.
soulseek for albums?
worth getting?, or should i just stick to torrents. torrents aren't good for single albums.

I'm mainly interested in movies and concerts so soulseek doesn't work for me.

I get up to 400kb/s with usenet and the max I've gotten with torrents is around 100-150kb/s.
That's rare though, that's why I generally dislike torrents.

I have 4mbit. You can get cable and ADSL at 20mbit now, but I don't trust it yet. Plus this 4mbit is quick enough for me at the moment.

I was preaching the word of Limewire years ago to no avail. Currently I use Soulseek~I've been able to find tracks that all others couldn't. Case and Point:I have been trying to track down the samples used in Black Sheeps "Similack Child" for years...Kazaa had Jefferson Airplanes "Today" and 3 Dog Nights "I Can Hear You Calling" no problem. However, for the jazz of Allen Toussanint "Louie", Ramsey Lewis "Les Fleur" and Mahavishnu Orcherstra with John McLaughlin "You Know, You Know"; it only took a matter of weeks.
I have a new computer now and I once used MusicMatch for the play but have now switched gears to Jet Audio....Interesting scenerios you can do with songs with that program.
