I start next Tuesday. My current company is going belly up and I think I was about to get laid off. Anyway, the new job is much closer to my house (18 mi opposed to 42) and I'm getting a chance to get more into the employment law/labor law and project side of HR.....NO MORE RECRUITING (y) Yea!

That'll probably equal like an extra hour a day that you get to spend with little JBernas.
Congratulations!

At least......Not to mention it's more money and the benefits are less than half of what I'm currently paying..that's like a raise right there

Less time on the road is a blessing in itself. Good for you, Mrs Bernas.

well done!
Still, I can't wait until we live in a world where robots do all the work and we all live in luxury
work is such a rip-off! The money my agency fleeces of me!!!!!!!!!!!!
A worldwide recruitment agency ban is needed

With gas being 3.50 a gallon, it's not only more time off the road, but more money in my pocket.....that car costs 50 bucks to fill up (and I fill up twice a week  )

You have to fill up twice a week? What kind of gas guzzler do you drive?

Same one you do mickill, if I remember correctly (Passat drivers of the world, say what?). I drive almost 100 miles a day though. Sucks.

Ahhh....subtle sarcasm is a little tough to read in black and white ;)
Jabumbo....I don't work for an agency (I don't like those people either....they hound you), but I am in the HR department and handle the recruiting for the company (placing ads, screening resumes, etc.)......I will be glad to move past that.
