Could the Boys join `05 Voodoo Festival??

Hello I don't have a problem to report but a general question. I purchased my Voodoo Festival weekend ticket prior to Katrina doing her damage to New Orleans. In checking out the status of the Voodoo concert as they were looking for a new city to host the event for this year, I saw that the Boys participated in the event in the past. My question as a Boys' fan (since the 80s, I might add), would they be willing to join this year to help the NO? If so, I would gladly pay more money to see them (and others I am asking). I fell in love with New Orleans so as a fan of the NO and the Boys, I hope I don't step on anyone's toes for asking. Thanks a bunch, Mia099

I don't think it's going to happen. The Beasties did get a link up on the main page here if you want make a donation for Hurricane relief...so they do support the effort.

The Beasties PR firm recently promoted a Hurricane Relief concert with some of their other artists including Dave Grohl.

Yauch said they probably won't do any more shows this year, but maybe next year.

I don't think they'd be playing at Voodoo as they played it last year.
Here it is quite usual that the bands don't play the same festival two years in a row. Of course there's always excetions, like Sator have played just about every year at Hultsfred festival (quite often under secret monicer, see reason above) and the Cure at Roskilde because they cancelled their gig after nine people died during Pearl Jam in the moshpit.
