How bad was that last one, where the lady got the tummy tuck and she got that huge scab...yuck (n)

And she only got like $50,000 compensation

how about those breast implants? that was awful. that's what happens when you don't want to pay a lot of money.

If I'm getting plastic surgery, I want a major fuck up so I can collect on the malpractice case.

No, you like it when you see other people suffering.

I know where you're coming from Su, but it's pretty sad that you watch the show to see what happens when overzealous twats go under the knife to 'look better' and it goes wrong. I just get bad vibes about what you're saying.

I'm not trying to!!!

I'm just trying to explain to you that what you are saying might be not so nice. The title of your thread is pretty harsh after all.

it's not. i like watching shows that detail the bad side of plastic surgery because they are interesting and informative. i like watching a lot of medical documentaries. that's all.
the shows are screened so people will watch them.

Yeah I figure it acts as much as entertainment as a counterbalance to shows like body work, extreme makeover etc

exactly. shows like that are WAY more sick and disturbing.
and i hate that bitch megan gale that hosts it. she's like "i'm hotter than you, and you wish you looked like me. here's how:"

sheesh

Ahhh.....Zorra. You should come watch tv with my wife. Sounds like the two of you would get along just fine when it comes to finding a show to run me out of the room. :D

I disagree. You can't even say that if there's a fiery wreck on the side of the road, you're just going to drive by and not look at what happened. Or not watch "Worlds Most Dangerous Animals" where you just know some biker guy in California is gonna get his leg bitten off by a mountain lion.

It's just human fascination with things gone wrong. Or gross things.

I find it sort of sad when women have such low self-esteem that they want to get plastic surgery. I personally think that most of the women who go to these plastic surgeries are just plain-looking, and they want to be gorgeous so they can attract shallow men who aren't worth it to begin with. There haven't been any seriously disfigured women getting surgeries (except for a select few that I've seen), it's basically been everyday chicks that think they need a stronger chin, or a bigger butt, or a nose with a slope in it. It's sad. ACCEPT YOUR IMPERFECTIONS DAMMIT!

i looove watching plastic surgery shows. i don't know why. they don't gross me out much, ever. the only thing i was ever grossed out by was a vasectomy i saw years and years ago. i usually watch to see the "before and after" comparison...and usually they look like aliens after.

the guy was awake for the ceremony, and i saw the surgeon basically snip a tube...i think they were freezing off genital warts at the same time. it was a long time ago, it sorta messed me up :(

This is my pet peeve. The people of my state are the absolute worst rubberneckers in the universe. Nine times out of ten, if traffic is barely moving on the freeway, you know there was some kind of accident, it will have been completely removed from the lanes of traffic, any wounded will have been taken from the scene, but my fellow citizens will still stop traffic in order to creep by at a snail's pace to catch a peek at the wreckage. Fucking idiots.

And they'll back up traffic on both sides of the highway as people on the other side try to peer over the Triton barriers. I saw part of an accident scene once and it made me sick--the images stayed with me for a long time. I make myself NOT look at accidents now.

And no, I don't like to watch those plastic surgery shows. I saw an embedded piece in some news story about how people get addicted to having plastic surgery and that was enough for me. I'm not into those shows. I will, however, watch Survivor and the Amazing Race. :o
