this morning around 9 my mother had a siezure. so my father and i went to the hospital following the ambulance. and when we were aloud into the room with her and as she was comeing to my father starts to joke around about this shit and my mother is slinging it right back to him about how he passed out in the dog bowl one evening on his way to the bathroom. apparently he had some sort of infection in his intestines. meanwhile the nurses and doctors in the room don't know to luagh or to be allarmed. they were saying some seriously funny shit to one another but it was just so whacked, twisted and surreal. this incedent of my mother haveing a siezure is gonna be the basis of many jokes to come within my family for months.

she seems perfectly fine. she was a complete zombie though imediatly afterwards. really freaked me out. she had no idea what the hell was going on. i was holding her head and we were asking her questions and shit. i asked her how she got on the floor. she had no idea she was even on the floor. when the firemen came she was looking at them like, "get the hell outa my damn house." she doesn't remember anything till she got into the ambulance. she was takeing off her shoes when all this shit happened. fuckn' shoes....shoes
that reminds me of what happened to my neighbor. she spontaneously went into a coma one day and never woke up, leaving her husband to look after the 3 kids alone. doctors never figured out what the fuck happened (at least, not that anyone ever told the rest of the neighborhood...as if it's our business).
anyway glad your mom's ok. human physiology is bizarre. a sense of humor is a good thing to have (y)

When my ma was sick, we used humor to hide our fear and so that she wouldn't think that there was something to worry about. Everyone knew what we were doing but we did it anyway.
It was good that you were there and able to be with your mother while you were waiting for the ambulance. Seizures are scary. I am so glad that she's okay.

Yeah hey, same wif my family... Instead of crying, we try to stay strong and crack a few jokes here and there hehe... Dono if that's a bad thing or not though... But it gets us through the tough times! (y)

Wow, that sucks about your mom, Turd. I'm glad she's okay now. There's nothing scarier than seeing a parent you've always looked up to in a position of such vulnerability. My dad gets migraines that basically attack the fuck out of his brain and it makes him unresponsive and not understanding anything, and it's really scary to see him like that. Even when they're better that shit doesn't leave you. :(
