Would 'Enter Sandman' count?

Scar Tissue was pretty bomb.
However, I will go with Summertime in the Void by I Mother Earth. They disapeered after that song again.

Still D.R.E. - Dr Dre - "Haters said that Dre fell off..."
California Love - 2pac & Dre - I can't listen to this anymore--it's overblown/overproduced --but it was nuts when it first dropped.
Mama Said Knock You Out - LL Cool J -Not my personal favorite, and I know I shouldn't call it a comeback, but it works.
My Sweet Lord - George Harrison - He sure showed them.
Sexual Healing - Marvin Gaye - This is baby-making music.
Made You Look - Nas - Some people thought Nas already made his comeback with Stillmatic, but that was a bit premature, and he took it to another level with this track. Besides, there wasn't really a hot single off of that album (One Mic? Not really). Too bad he fell off again, not that God's Son was perfect or anything.
Suspicious Minds - Elvis Presley - What?? It's a good song.
Just Like Starting Over - John Lennon - Not the best track on his far from perfect final album, but it was a small triumph for him at the time.
Miss You - The Rolling Stones - There was about a 5 year run there in which their albums weren't doing as well, commercially or critically, as they once had.

Whether you like it or not, you've got to acknowledge The Real Slim Shady, coming back from success and all that. Like an anti-comeback.
The rest of them, well, he never really went anywhere after that did he?

It is a comeback single, true. But in context I think Pass the Mic is the better of them.

Weezer - Hash Pipe (They had a .01% of becoming famous again after Pinkerton, but they managed it)
Radiohead - Just (They were pegged as one hit wonders after 'Creep'. This proved everyone wrong.)

I think one of the most interesting comeback singles in rock history is when aerosmith agreed to do the run dmc mix of "Walk This Way".
"Walk This Way" already out for over a decade was re-invented. The song made people think about aerosmith again. They were all in re-hab shaking off the disease....then aerosmith struck while the fire was hot, hired a writer and performed a slew of substandard bullshit songs that millions of tone death dumbfucks immediately snapped up.
That one single made aerosmith huge, rich and songs with lines like "Dude Looks Like a Lady" common radio fodder.

Good call.
M.O.P-Ante Up.
AC/DC-Thunderstruck. They spent the eighties in a critical and creative limbo.

So you're saying this was a good thing?
For a comeback single, it most certainly was a good thing.
The comeback single is a bigger deal than a breakthrough debut. In the case of Aerosmith, they had an infinitely more prosperous career second-time around.

Which was not needed...
But illustrates the power of 'The Comeback Single'. And consequently demonstrates the importance of this thread.
Do any of the bands you listen to put out singles? :p

Just out of curiosity are you referring to the song or the album in general? I swear i'm one of the few people who reallygot into that record! It had much of an impact on me than anything else by them in the last 10 years. Either way i take it you liked the unnamed Feeling, which I always thought was a particular highlight :)
