How do you get rid of it? I used to sing the theme from Sesame Street but it finally stopped working after all these years. I found the song that killed it.
Fucking Weezer.

I don't even know Weezer songs, but after hearing them do that sweaterrrrrr song last night, it's looping in my head. When it finally starts to slip away, I get that Islands song--not the lyrics, just the hook and that uh uh sound he does.
This is serious.
(and what does this say about how far FFs have sunk?)

i get more than just songs stuck in my head. i'll repeat memories, conversations, comedic routines, movies, other senseless shit that really bugs the hell out of me and drives me absolutely insane. it's relentless and it never stops unless im doing a million differnt things at once and it's impossible to think about anything other than what im doing or unless im just so exhausted my brain just refuses to do any extranious shit.

...?
The restaurant plays music, darling. So not only do I hear crap all day long, half of it is COUNTRY music.
Actually, the other half is usually not too bad, oldies and stuff.
But I dread Christmas...

My mom likes Olive Garden. She always tells our server how much she likes the music there. It's the same hour-long mix of Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett all the time. The servers' eyes just glaze over. I feel bad for them.

The only way to get it out is to go listen to it...or just sing the same 3 lines over and over again around a friend or co-worker to pass it on to them...

Satisfaction by The Stones gets rid of everything. Try it next time you have a Shaggy or Avril song in your head.

When I was a little kid I thought 'Feliz Navidad' was saying 'Bananeek scolli lopp!' and I used to sing it at the top of my voice at people walking past our front lawn.
Bananeek Scolli lopp erbody!
