Anyone looking to pick up a refreshing record, peep the new Fiona Apple LP "Extraordinary Machine". She's somewhat an acquired taste, but if you enjoyed her old stuff you won't be disappointed, or if you haven't given her work a gander yet now's a better time than any.

I want to see her live here in Seattle, but I don't know if I can stand the fans. I may go, but if I do, I'm wearing a garish loud ass jump suit with my fucking mass man jewels hanging all over the joint.

sometimes my insecurity needs to be on display, her show 11/23 seems like a good place.

like the bun to the burger - like the burger to the bun

There's supposed to be another version of the album with that ole Jon Brion touch that didn't get released and is said to be "all kinds of kicked assness" as compared to the retouched version that came out.

It's something to download, I suppose.

I've got it. It's pretty good but completely different.

I prefer the new version for the most part. Although that could just be cuz the original version is shit audio quality.

Target was out of her CD on the day it was released. It looked like they could have fit maybe 8 max in the tiny slot with her name on it. If I go to a regular music store I'll buy a dozen CDs. Crap.

yeah, "window" is the one that's got ahold of me right now too. but its just a matter of time til I get hooked on each song one by one. thats kinda how her albums work; you gotta work your way through them. the tracks hit you one by one.

I truly hate that window song. Even my mom was making fun of it today. :)

I simply love two songs and I like most of them. It's going to take some time to make up my mind whether it's a great CD. And she needs to come here.

I personally think this album is sort of booty. I really, really love Red Red Red and Not About Love, but the rest doesn't really do it for me. Maybe it just needs to grow on me, but for now, I'm kind of disappointed.

If I can wear a pastel twinset to NIN (thereby being the only one of 15,000 not wearing black), then you can haul your jumpsuited self out to see Fiona. :)
