I've decided to change careers and I'm researching loans, grants and scholarships. Can anyone point me in the direction of some decent providers of said resources?

I've got a degree in communications but I've decided that all I've ever wanted to do was work in a vet hospital, so I want to retrain as a vet assistant or technician.

Please don't ask me why I've wasted 10 years of my life on other jobs that I never found my groove in. I've just been silly.

I'm a little freaked out, because I know that making this change is something that I need to do to be happy in life, but it's a 180 from my current job in finance. It's not going to be easy. I will probably need to work full time and school part-time unless I get some really great funding for school.

I'm excited that I've finally figured out what I want to do! and I'm nervous about how I will accomplish it.

One thing if you don't already know about it, is FastWeb (http://www.fastweb.com/). Tons of scholarships you can search through specific to you, your major, your age/heritage/blah blah blah are there.

Other things, no suggestions as of right now. But best of luck. :)

If you own your own home you could refinance and use the equity money for school.

^Stripping probably would be the fastest way to make some school money. I almost have the body for it. almost :(

I think I'll stick to applying for government money. Uncle Sam takes enough of my money. I demand he give some of it back to me for a good cause.

To my understanding you can only get grants for undergraduate degrees. You can't get them for advanced degrees. However, I don't know if you can get them for another undergarate degree, if you already have one.
