View Full Version : A question to all the "Lost" fans (that means you, Qdrop, DandyFop, et al)

So yeah, as I'm sure you're aware, I've recently taken a liking to this "Lost" show via the 1st season DVD. I figured the show would be decent enough, but it managed to blow away all expectations and I understand completely why you're all obsessed.

Anyways, here's my question. So far, I've made it through 14 of the 24 episodes from the first season. I hope to be finished the remainder of the season within the next week (i.e. before Wednesday evening). Now if I were to jump into the second season (4th episode, right?), would I be completely confused or would I be able to catch up to the plotlines in due time?

Yeah, I know it's dumb of me not to at least tape the first 3 episodes or something. But it's my mistake and I'll have to live with it.

I suppose I could look up some episode guides on the web (any good ones?) to get the plot summaries or I could try and download those previous episodes (downloading isn't really my thing, though).

So the bottom line: jump into the middle of the second season or just wait until THAT season comes out on DVD? Help!

If you just want to read recaps for now, go with this. It's pretty detailed, although it's a bit snarky.

I've heard of that website before. Is that run by that chick who's kinda bitchy?

Edit - I took a look at summaries for episodes I've already seen and her style is annoying. Is there anything that just delivers the straight goods without her giving a commentary?

I don't know. They genuinely like Lost, at least most of the time. But they make fun of everything they recap. But I have no idea about who runs it.

I think this one is delivering more what I'm looking for...

They switched recappers about halfway through I think. The other guy might be slightly less annoying. Oh well, you found one that works for ya. *shrugs*

PS-both the current recapper and the one he replaced are dudes. Dude. ;)

Isn't there a girl associated with that website who got to do a special "fan commentary" for an episode on the 3rd season DVD for "Alias" or am I thinking of another sarcastic TV website?

Edit - Speaking of "Alias," I tried watching tonight's episode (having missed both the season finale and season premiere). Man oh man was I confused and it was ONLY two episodes. That's pretty much why I started this thread, since I feared that I'd be confused if I tried jumping in the middle of this season of "Lost"

Oh they have female recappers. They just don't cover Lost.
