People used to come here all the time and ask whether he was Mike's brother, so the admins put something in the FAQ section and put this (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=30796&page=1&pp=30&highlight=bell) thread in frequent posts for people who still want to discuss it. You probably didn't hear the rumor so the reference was confusing.

I think this question was in fact the entire reason the official FAQ was created. I used to see people asking at least once a week. We haven't seen it asked for a little while now on the site so I guess the message finally got through.

Unfortunately people still ask me in person quite a bit.

They can occasionally be seen in Pizza Hut together on every other Saturday until they sort out the compex custody struggle between Neil and Mike mother, Anne Diamond, who was only ever just friends with Roland Rat.

But the truly interesting thing is that Mike's father's first cousin (Selma Diamond (http://www.dougmacaulay.com/kingspud/sel_by_actor_index_2.php?actor_first=Selma&actor_last=Diamond)) was nominated for an Emmy for Night Court! ;)
