Did we ever figure out why Clint had to talk so goshdarn much in that movie to himself while he was flying?
"Looks like the clouds are out tonight. I'm going to pull this lever because I'm coming in to fast for brakes. Switching to infrared mode. Turning to my left now."

i'd never even heard of this movie until i saw a commercial for it on AMC or something. and i consider myself a casual clint-eastwood fan.

My dad used to love that movie. He loved all movies with lots of confusing flying scenes in fast airplanes.

If he wouldn't have talked to himself while flying that movie would have been more tedious than the english patient.
A guy sitting quietly in a plane for two hours...
Actually I take that back, the english patient was worse.

I never saw the movie but I did read the book, and Firefox Down too. I've still got them around here somewhere. I dare say the excessive use of "i'm engaging the bi-lateral vector enhancers now" is to keep all the geeks happy. You wouldn't know that button he pressed was the bi-lateral vector enhancers but because in the book that's what he presses, they need to express that somehow. You know the deal...
