updates on Hypnotize's release; tracklist and some audio playing the background.

you can listen to one of the new songs; hypnotize in their little musicplayer thing.

sounds alright, still alot of singing from Daron which i have my thoughts on.

More importantly, the albums interlock musically. The final track on Hypnotize, “Soldier Side” completes “Soldier Side Intro,” which appears as the opening track on Mezmerize.

I can't wait for that!

I'm hoping it's better than the 'Mezmirize' album, the more I listen to that, the more critical I am of it. :(

I read somewhere that it was plenty better anyway.

I'm excited. The new song is nice, I've liked their albums more and more with each release. I hope the trend continues.

From an early review of 'Hypnotize' by Kerrang.

Another work of genius. Darker and heavier than Mezmerize’, there's nothing here as poppy or radio friendly as ‘BYOB’ – this is a ‘classic’ System all the way: staccato riffs, epic breakdowns, and inspired, authority baiting choruses. Serj and co have done it again. Roll on November 22nd…

I wish System of a Down would get more credit than just 'being a pretty good metal band'. They've got more creativity and sheer deranged energy than pretty much everyone else right now.

bought hypnotize today, but i had downloaded it a couple of days ago :D
soooooo good. the covers folding together is nice and handy.

best way: put all of hypnotize and mezmerize in WMP, unshuffled, sort by artist (this will put hypnotize on top of the mezmerize tracks) and play it all the way through. seems like a huge album. which is pretty much what it is, right?

i bought HYPNOTIZE today (the newest one)

I haven't listened to Hypnotize as thoroughly as Mesmerize, but I like it a bit better. Like Mesmerize is a B+ and this one is an A. It seems a little less silly, and has a ton of really amazing songs. I agree about Daron singing - I definitely prefer Serj's operatic timbre but I don't hate Daron's voice. When they are both singing it sounds great. So far my favorite songs on the new album are Dreaming, Hypnotize, Tentative, Holy Mountains, and Lonely Day. The solo on Lonely Day is sick. Roger.

I'd say Mezmerize is tiny little bit better than Hypnotize, but they're both bloody brilliant.

You don't feel much, what with the heart of ice.

Heart of ice. Yes, okay.

I think because of my high expectations I've been left rather unimpressed with this album, which is really funny because it's part II of the whole lot.

At first i didnt like Mesmerize but after giving it more listens i really liked it. So far after my initial listen to this one, i like some tracks, some not. but i need to give it time. I still think Toxicity is their best cd.
