i was talking to a friend about this, and i realized how much i go nuts over someone who has a million things in their start menu's and how i hardly have anything.

so post yours and lets see what kind of garbage you have on your computer

Or maybe I am :(, especially considering I actually cleaned up my start menu so it didnt look too bad

Is it true that if an apple gets a virus the computer smily face thingy on the desktop frowns? My cousin told me that when I was little and I've never found out whether its true or not.

I'll never know because apples don't get viruses. :rolleyes:

On Sex and the City, Carrie had a "sad mac" when her computer died but I don't know if it's for real. My laptop died a few months ago and the screen just went all crazy and shook back and forth and then went black. They gave me a new logic board (?) for free.

my short cut key to take screen shots refuses to take a screen shot. But then I don't have a start button either (just a little red hat) so it wouldn't of worked and showed you nothing

i've never cleaned my start menu, ever. i've owned this computer for 4 years.

and before you ask, yes, those are erotic games, and no, i couldn't get them to work (for free)

i'd say it's got to be roughly 75% dead links. there was a time when i never used unintaller programs, i'd just delete the folders containing whatever it was i wanted to get rid of...when you do that it doesn't get rid of it in the start menu (or delete keys in the registry, which makes things difficult later on), so that's pretty much why it's that bad.

i keep my start menu empty, and have a couple folders on the desktop. all the programs go in one folder, games in another. that helps keep it clean



ps:matthias, we should play starcraft sometime! its been ages since ive played a multiplayer game

Mostly default sony junk and not nearly enough of my normal applications. I haven't installed this laptop properly because I can't get panel fitting to work. As soon as I do that I'll start installing everything.

Oh, and when I do I'll gladly give you a game of starcraft jabumbo. Unless you are good, or something.

I suck at it but really like it.

It usually looks a bit more rich but... you know... temporary installation thing :(

edit: by the way, my laptop is only a p3, all of the proper games are on my pc :)
