Wallace and Grommit were major Meth Heads, somehow this fire doesn't surprise me, Fetcher from Chicken Run had been hinting at this danger for the past year.

I wonder how many Americans are all teary eyed over this.

That's dreadful!

My friend and I were talking about W&G at lunch on Friday. I was telling her that she had to see Creature Comforts (http://www.atomfilms.com/af/content/atom_221). I go to a lot of film festivals that feature shorts. Even though it's apparently been 15 years, I still remember seeing Creature Comforts on the big screen. I had to seek it out to see it again even though it's just five minutes long. I think I sat through a whole other show to see it again.

It's better on the big screen because of the facial animation. As an American, I think it's 10 times funnier that almost all of the animals have British accents. I don't know why that is.

It is too bad. Sounds like Nick Park is keeping some perspective on the situation though. It is unfortunate; I'm sure the NMFPT in Bradford would have loved to have been able to archive some of that material someday.

What timing though, eh?

The Were-Rabbit movie is number one at the box office here, as I mourn Serenity's apparent failure to catch on with the mainstream public.

We Americans know a little bit about British entertainment.

It could be because of how I was introduced to W&G (or rather, who did the introduction), but I never got it and it's not because it's British. I never thought it was anything out of the ordinary.

That said, I expect to see this movie because a friend is coming in for a visit--he's a big W&G fan and this movie isn't showing where he's living.

that sucks.

my mom was going to have a W & G party this weekend for my nephew and niece but my niece had a fever so it didn't happen...my brother told me she was at home all day sniffling, "Gwomit :("

Was Serenity good? I actually watched the show and I meant to see it but I was booked up the weekend it opened and then I forgot about it this weekend. I guess I should get out there while it's still in theaters. :o

Serenity is an ok movie, if you watched the shows and DVD collection. If you didn't, then it's just another so-so sci-fi film.

I watched all the DVDs because my friend was an addict and she made me. I keep thinking it will be odd to see the baddies from Angel and Buffy being good gals/guys again.

I want to see Serenity but I want to see Firefly first so I can maximize enjoyment.
