I need some songs that are all bass guitar. I want to learn again, and although I know it's easy to play, I have no talent so it's a million times harder for me. But stuff like Bob Marley I know are good songs to learn by but I'm more looking for songs where a bass is used only. Slap is cool also.
I want to make a CD of them to get some timing down.

If you think bass is "easy" try out any Primus song.

Sweet. Cheers for that.
And for the rest of them, I can make more than 1 CD, probably about 5 :D
Yeah, saying bass is easy is not what I meant. I've played six string for years, since I was about 5 years old. And everyone who plays and six string and then picks up a bass finds it easy. Apart from me. Learning to play any instrumant from scratch is very difficult for most people.

I downloaded "standing in the shadow of motown" and I'm listing to it now. Tis Quality. I need to get some rythem. I gonna find a 4/4 time riff and learn that just some timing cus that is my main problem.
I always used to practice root down for that cus it was easy and I knew it by heart.
I'm gonna put a folder together of those 50 songs from that Stylus mag list. If anyone wants a copy? Can I say that? If anyone does, then PM me. Might take me a couple of weeks to get the songs together though.

I miss my bass....And Futtermans Rule is way underrated.
And Mouth for War is pure out fun, same as Five Minutes Alone, This Love, Hollow, those are all fun and all but Fascination Street and that Depoche Mode song with guy walking around with the chair.~Nice Video~~~Not particularly a nice bass line but good video
