I used to be a career counselor. Most people know them as headhunters. I worked for this guy that would sit at his desk and blow smoke up people's asses about how their resume "looks good and I have three top law firms in mind right now that are looking for someone with your background in estate law. Let me fax your resume over to them and I'll be working on lining up other firms in the meantime, OK? Great! Here's my card. If you don't hear from me by this afternoon then give me a call around 2 pm tomorrow. I should definitely have some positive feedback from a couple of them by then. Thank you for coming in. I'm looking forward to placing you with one of my accounts. It's not often we get someone in here with a background like yours. We should have no problem. Have a good one. Talk to you tomorrow." and he would send them out of his office on a cloud of hope and before these people were even in the fucking elevator their resume was in the garbage.

I always thought that was low rent. I hated when he did that kind of shit. I would feel so bad for those people. If you can't help someone then say, "Look, I would like to help you but right now I don't have any accounts that are looking for anyone with your kind of background in law." Or "Honestly, I'm looking for someone with a little more experience in personal injury."

My boss annoys me when he doesn't understand mistakes are just that. He says "Be more careful, try not to make mistakes anymore." TRY not to make them? Oh, okay, like I have control over them? If I did they'd be call "on purposes" not "mistakes." I don't even make that many! Maybe once a week!And after I make a mistake, he explains to me why it was a mistake, and tells me the right way to do it (which is like, DUH, no shit, I've been working here 2 years, I just forgot to do that one little thing this one time).

Seriously, it makes me feel dumb when it's 9 o'clock in the morning, I'm tired as shit, and I forget to have a patient sign the dental claim form. "Oh, Diana. You should make sure they sign it because that's how I get money from the insurance company." REALLY? I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. My boss only (and only) wants money so he explores us by tellin his clients he can do the job, but instead WE do his job so he can talk to the other bosses around and then later he criticizes our work, like we had any time to do it perfectly. Why doesn't he just stop accepting every fucking thing that comes? He pays very very very (and so very) few for me to have such a stressful job. I'm supposed to leave work at 5:00pm, but at 4:30pm somebody asks him to do something (the work itself) and for when, for the same day, yes! So, who really does it? US! (meaning me and another co-worker) so I don't just get stressed out and nervous, but I leave at 6:30pm not to mention having to put up what he is gonna tell me the next day...blah blah blah, you should have done this and that...and I'll tell you. "You SHOULD WORK, man! MOVE YOUR ASS, BASTARD! ARE YOU MADE OF BUTTER, YOU ASSHOLE? Not that you have one, you seem like more of an oral person, you like to suck on penis, I mean, people...
