In 2nd grade I said cheerleader because all of the other girls picked 'nurse' and I wanted a sexier job.

Then I said veteranarian. Then paleontologist once Jurassic Park came out. And now I don't really care, as long as I'm happy and paid.

from 4th to 6th grade I wanted to be an astronaut. I researced everything I could, and for a while I decided I would go into the navy and then the air force after high school. when I was in 7th grade, I got very depressed for a long time, and I pretty much said "fuck being an astronaut". I wanted to be a musician for a while, then in 10th grade I settled on being a grade-school teacher. I start school in january.

an engineer. i did work experience as an engineer in grade 10 and then i was basically told because i didn't have a penis, no matter how well i did, i'd never be accepted in this male dominated occupation.

jet fighter pilot

I'm kinda glad i didn't. I don't particularly want to fight for this country right now. If we were threatened, then hell yes.

My dad's an engineer and I remember him telling a story just the other night about a female engineering colleague. I don't remember the exact details, but she was definately an engineer. I'm not saying it's not male dominated to some degree, but I wouldn't let what someone says stop you from doing what you want to do. Actually I just remembered about another female engineer, one of my dad's mate's daughters is winning engineering awards left right and center, apparently. She was always really smart. I shoulda hopped on board that one for the big win ;) :p

I wanted to be a tree. A hard gig to get into, I know, but forest ecology is the next best thing.

I wanted to be a psychologist but then I was told how long I'd have to spend in college so I thought no way. I just wandered aimlessly when I left school and fumbled my way into graphic design, seeing as I could draw pretty good and I had a vague idea of being creative in some way.

Years later I wish I had been a gardener but seeing as I'm not I'm retraining to go into web design.

I wanted to be an architect, but that stopped when I sucked at graphics and art. Then I wanted to be an engineer but I was too shit at physics, well not shit but it was my worst subject. I mean I still coulda done it but I realised that I'm naturally stronger at humanities. And I like politics. And theres only 14 contact hours for Arts/law whereas theres 26 for engineering.

Stuntman. There was this show on TV when I was about 5 years old that showed so many incredible stunts. Half of the guys I knew wanted to be stuntmen, the other half policemen "to have a fast car and a gun" :o :o
Some of those "policemen" wannabies became good drug smugglers, so you really never know :)

I wanted to be a mathematician and teach at Princeton.

OK so, I was a big nerd, OK?

zorra, you totally should have gone to engineering school. Mr.peachy went to an architecture and engineering school and there were like 15 guys for every girl. You'd have been very very popular!

I wanted and still would love to be a Profiler with the F.B.I. But, it's not very practical. Actually, it's hard as hell to even get into the F.B.I. and then you have to put in years and years as a special agent, in which you have to relocate all the time. Then, apply for the position, which is even tougher to get. Plus, on top of all that, you don't get paid very well for the work you do.

pilot and all those crazy jobs.

for some reason; i'd love to be a rock star, even though i couldn't play an instrument for shite! my dreams were shattered in year 8 when i was told i couldn't play electric bass because it was taken. and the cunt that took it up never showed up to class and left half way through the year.
but by the end of the year i was sick of the subject and totally off put by learning an instrument.

now i'm wishing i took it up that next year. (n)

i always wanted a job where i had to deal with animals. but my parents kinda "forced" me to take a job in an office (since i didn't want to study anything). last year i finally gave up my boring office-job, and now i'm working as an animal communicator (finally). i have never been happier (jobwise).

Just buy a bass guitar and amp off ebay for like 200 bucks. I can sing and play a bit of guitar. I think Zorra was a drummer in a girl punk band that released an album. Its all coming together man!

Dude ebay it. Don't get one of those packs. They suck. Get something decent second hand. You dont need lessons for bass...or even guitar. Just need to practice.
