I do believe the King Ad Rock was or still DJ's is this true?

Also, does anyone recall any of the other boys throwing down on the tables?

I did see MCA with the FRO' in the Hey Ladies Video. :cool:

All three of them have messed around with it. Adrock has been cutting since the early 80s. After License to Ill, both Adrock and MCA do the cuts on the albums until Mixmaster Mike came through in Hello Nasty. A lot of people think DJ Hurricane cut on those early ablums but just DJed on the tours. And Mixmaster Mike just did some of the scratches on Hello Nasty. Adrock and MCA did the rest. As for Mike D, I have a radio show DJed by him and MCA. Mike D doesn't have quite the skills of Adrock or MCA but he knows good music.

its pretty much yauch's song. he made it all but for some reason they had to modify it. its was made entirely out of jimmy hendrix cuts and stuff. from one of the many(apparently) times in his life when he was 'completely obsessed with jimi hendrix'. im prety sure you can hear the original unmodified version on the sounds of science. (y)

theres also a dj related story in that book where the boys were at some club and almost got their dj'ing cut down as they played virtually all of the first cypress album and nothing else!

Understandable why they would though...

It had to do with the sample clearences. They didn't think they were going to clear and then they did. So, the version on the album is the one where Yauch had to pull out some of the samples he used and replace them with sound-a-likes. By the time the single came out, they had cleared up the sample issues so the single has the Jimmy James (Original Version). That's the one with the real Hendrix samples.

Also, the original concept was that the track would be instrumental. So that's why the instrumental has all the Hendrix samples and no lyrics, and is called the Jimmy James (Original Original Version).
