Goddamn it this guy isn't paying me enough! I just got a raise a month ago, but in light of recent projects thrown at me, I should be getting more.

Today, on top of everything else I do he ploped a fucking breakfast seminar in my lap, with less than a month to plan it. Now I've got an extensive background in event planning so it's not like it's that hard, I know what to do, but like my boss has no concept of what it takes. one month isn't much time, and they don't really seem to have the first clue about how to promote such an event. luckily I've got a clue.

then my boss belongs to rotary and they gave him an hour long seminar on how to write a press release ( right because if it was really that easy why did I have to take four years of classes in PR and journalism to get good at it?). So of course, since i have a degree in PR I'm gonna get stuck inverviewing people and writing these releases.

I'm also expected to make study notes for him for his certified financial planner certification. So I'm doing these outlines on a book that I have no background with, no prior understanding of being a finacial planner like he is and I'm suppose to break it down so he can understand it? I barely understand it. and basically I feel like I'm retyping the book for him. fucking waste of time. besides, my doing the notes for him only means that I'm probably going to learn the info better than he will and I should take the fucking test. (and make over 100k a year)

So I'm doing all of this on top of my regular duties for only 30k a year.

I think I'm getting ripped off. No wonder I'm ready to go back to school and change careers.

(thank you if you took the time to read this rant. I hope you find my professional pain at least mildly entertaining.)
