Good luck (y) I want my grrl to quit... But she gets extremely poo'ey when she doesn't have multiple nicotine hits throughout the day... Scares me when she gets moody... So I guess it's a good thing she hasn't quit haha...

Thanks, I think it's more of a distraction for me. I waste so much time, but I do have a lot of it to waste, but I could fit more in is what I'm saying (y)

It's amazing to me how easy it was to stop as soon as I suspected I was pregnant. One of the first clues that I might be actually was how sick the smell of it made me feel. Now, if I'm at, say, the bus stop or something and someone next to me lights up, I have to leave, or I'll puke on them. (I sometimes entertain the notion of doing just that, just for kicks.)

Seriously though, how fun would that be, to just puke all over someone and then be like "Oh oops sorry, it's just that I'm a bit pregnant you see, and the smoke makes me sick." Ha, ha!

I think I might give it a try. (y)

I think when I reach 30, if I havn't already, that will be the time. It is a complete waste of time, but it's so hard to resist, because there's so many times you get tempted. You walk into the servo to pay for your petrol and ask for a pack of smokes out of habit, stuff like that. Well, that's what I would find when I last gave up, for about 3 or 4 months. I think if you're gonna give up, stick to it, cause once you give up once and then go back, it makes giving up a second time even harder. You lose all that motivation, you think meh i'm just gonna end up smoking again in a few months anyway, why torture myself. Anyway, good luck and all that :)

I wasn't hating, that's on the office. But you knew that already. Or did you?

I hope we're getting somewhere. :D

Start smoking cigars - their much healthier and a poker match just wouldn't be the same without 'em. (y)

You know, if whoever started the thread went into smoking cocks, at least they could make some money out of it.

It's more a time killer, I think. And thanks

It also helps me sleep. And man, could I NOT sleep last night. I started to make a collage[sp?] of pictures. That I've been been doing for ages, of like concert tickets and pictures and stuff that shows where I've been. Which I think I'll continue when I wanna smoke.

I also want to be healthier. I like pushing my self to the edge of exaustion while training so if I might be able to push longer. It's a pain thing I enjoy with it.

But I quit every other month or so. So here I am quitting again but making a thread to remind me that I've annouced I will quit smoking. And I wouldn't want to lie.

I went two weeks and two days without smoking - I had to look up this thread to find out how long it has been. Thought it was longer than that but I smoked last night :(. But I didn't enjoy it as much as when I full time.

Not smoking when others are smoking is hard!

^Yeah, I was round at a mates. If they didn't smoke all night I wouldn't of but I didn't even refuse on the first offering. WEAK!

How cool would weed patches be? I think I'd abuse them tho...

Oh yeah, and you mary-jane heads, don't think you cannot get addicted to it cus you can. I didn't realise this was a myth until someone who I know smokes thought you couldn't. He even thought you couldn't get cancer from it! See how stupid kids are?! I cannot believe they don't educate these fools in school!

I stopped smoking pot a while ago and it was only hard for the first 2-3 days.... after that it was basically outta sight outta mind. it is addictive, but pot much much easier to quit than cigarettes.

yeah, I know. I've been smoking since 14 and I REALLY REALLY want to quit for good. That's like 11 years ago. I sometimes smoke tabacco with weed but tabacco has such a horrible taste and feeling I dunno how anyone get addicted to it cus the first taste made me think 'I'm never gonna put that stuff near me again without mixing it up'. So I'm pretty lucky I hate that stuff :p

the best part of nicotine patches is the vivid dreams side effect.

i knew i had to quit when i started rolling cigarettes for a little while. when i went back to the regular cigarettes i had been smoking previously, they tasted like air. the amount of nicotene i need is scary.

the worst part of quitting for me is excrutiating heartburn. one of he best parts is that food tastes a million times better when one is not a smoker.

So are you quitting cold turkey? Or are you using something to help you with the cravings?
