Why is the sound of the bong being pulled edited out of the video, but we can see Mike D obviously smokin' one later on?

I think he's pulling a bong in 'Looking down the barrell of a gun', whereas the sound is being replaced in 'Shake Your Rump'. The former was never released as a video clip, and this may explain the rawness of the content.

Makes you wonder about the smoking of spliff in the Triple Trouble vid.

You may be right about that. I'll have a look at the anthology when I get home from work.

Did you just say that there's no video for "Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun"?

It was never released. This is awesome. The word 'Paradox' in a Beastie general thread. :)

But it's on both the Skills To Pay The Bills VHS and the Anthology DVD.

Yeah, put out by the Beasties. Not played by music stations. Listen to the commentary.

I've seen it on MTV.

After the fact.

edit:I'm probably saying it wrong. Yauch sent it to MTV, because that's what he thought you do, right? And although it was never released as a single by the label, it was played after all of this. Maybe during the resurgence of 1992, maybe even due to the 'Skills' vhs.

You're right, Kid P, the clip of Mike D pulling a cone was in the 'Looking Down the Barrel of a Gun' video. I just checked. And, man, that snowboarder gets nailed across that pine sapling just after that bit.

Also, how sharp do the boys look in their tuxedo's in 'Sure Shots'?

Incidentally, Adrock being totally doped up in SYR is the funniest thing ever. The bit when he starts cutting up the imaginary turntables is joyous.

Was he doped up?
On a side note, check out what the boys are wearing. 80's style.

Watch it from the low angle- he's clearly dusted up.

If he was stoned, it certainly adds something to the video. He looks well funny in it.
