That seriously kick the poo right out of BMW's too. I suggest that you go buy one immediately if you have the means.

I, sadly enough, do not. I recommend the GS, SC, or IS. Too much fun.

Go buy a Lexus. Now.

A Lexus is a Toyota. A BMW is a BMW. They're not in the same league, both in terms of performance and stature. But Lexus does make nice cars, yes.

A Lexus is made by Toyota. True.

But a Lexus and a BMW are still comparable since they're the same class of vehicle.

Can't sorry; have already decided our next vehicle is likely going to be either a Quinny Buzz or a Bugaboo Frog. Although the Stokke Xplory is still in the running too.

go to google images and type in lexus lf a or lf c. Now that's incredible. The lfa seems to have some kind of propeller installed beneath the brakelights. I'm trying to find a link to see what it's all about but having difficulties. Maybe cause it's a concept.

check this link (http://www.lexus.com/about/concept/lf-a.html)

Lexi are shit in the snow. Two people I know have them. Wayne's brother, and my best friend's mom. They say in the rain and in the snow, they suck. Same with Jags. BMW's are better with handling.

They're no worse than a BMW in the snow, you just have to remember to hit the snow button and switch off the traction control. I didn't realise this until after I got my IS stuck at the bottom of my drive and had left it there for two days.

I used to have a BMW 5 series, that was fucking terrible in anything other than bone dry.

ps I love my Lexus (y)

I'd have a Toyota over a BMW anyway. Personally I think BMWs are overrated, and having owned both I'd choose a Toyota or Lexus over a BMW any day (except maybe an M5).

I personally wouldn't get a luxury car because I treasure my Mitsubishi Galant so much, and am constantly afraid something's gonna happen to it in the parking lot and it's only worth about $7,000 now. I can't imagine myself being paranoid of something more expensive.

Same deal with fancy jewelry for me. I don't enjoy it as much as I worry something will happen to it. :-/

haha what a pretentious fucking thread. Go buy a lexus, folks! Overindulge yourself on the verge of an economic crisis, be as fat as you possibly can!

i had a lexus. when it poured down rain, the engine would seize and have problems. since it's prone to dump huge amounts of rain all of a sudden every afternoon where i live, i got rid of it fast. if it had only happened once, i'd have let it go. but once it happened for the 4th time and the lexus dealership still couldn't figure out the problem, i was finished with it. i much prefer my 5 series; it drives well in all weather conditions.

My mate at work here just bought an import toyota celcior (or something like that) which is basically a lexus ls400 minus the badges. Being an engraver I fashioned him up some new badges and it's now a lexus :D But I still wouldn't own it, I'd rather actually have the toyota badges on there. For now my 69 corolla still gets me to work and back every day

i like the SC 400 and the RX330, but i'd rather have an infiniti G35 if we're talking about upper echelon classes.

toyota makes lexus
nissan makes infiniti
but a bmw is always a bmw.

i wasn't a fan of BMW until i spent a lot of time in and driving one. beth's 5 is a missle on wheels.

I agree. G35's are sick beyond belief.

But yeah, seriously, quit being so materialistic, people. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Honestly. I'm disgusted.

^ I can tell.

The main problem with BMW in this country is that the majority of them are owned and driven by complete pricks.

The only problem with the Lexus IS200 is that Alan Partridge drove one...

:D

Saw the bit where he encounters a fellow lexus driver and they almost have a secret handshake thing going.

Oh and on the subject of cars, I'm so going to get a drivers license before I'm fifty.

I just spent the weekend driving a Lexus. I have to agree. Except for the leather seats. The smell gives me an automatic car-sickness fit...

Ooooh. What kind of Lexus did you drive this weekend, my dear?

You shoulda just asked her what color it was. This is obviously a bit like asking Qdrop which designer's gown Nicole Kidman wore to the last Golden Globes.

You guys are fucked. The 1984 Ford Laser is the collector's car of choice.

$850 well spent, and I turn heads everywhere I take it.
