According to MMM's website he was supposed to play a place on 10/15 in Champaign.

Well after some investigating...he is actually playing a place called Joe's in Chicago on 11/4. Which is exactly one year since the Beasties played the United Center.

MMM put on an excellent show! This show was really only promoted through some local ski shops. The MMM performance was part of a ski party with Treton Gravity Research and their new film called Tangerine Dream. I would guess there were 300 or so people there.

The doors opened at 9:00. They had some breakdancers at about 10, gave away some ski shit at 10:30, then started the movie close to 11. Finally MMM hit the stage a little after midnight. He was wearing matching black "Mixwell" hat and shirt.

One thing very interesting is that he did NOT have a crate of vinyl. His tables were hooked up to an Apple laptop. I'm not exactly sure how the shit worked but he would click on some things on the laptop and the music would transfer to the "vinyl" that was on his tables.

He played a little over an hour and some of the shit included Nirvana, RATM, Kurtis Blow, Beasties (No Sleep and Brass Monkey), Clash, Rob Base and so on.

I took quite a few photos with my disposable camera that'll I'll try and get posted in the next couple of days. After he was done, he came out and shook a few hands and signed a couple of things very quickly.
